I was born in Dorset and have lived here all my life. I’m inspired by sunsets, colour, nature, the wonderful Dorset coastline and a passion for God who created it all.

Art has always been a huge part of my life and I started my painting career in the 1970s as a paintress at the world-famous Poole Pottery, producing hand-painted Traditional ware and one-off pieces.

Since then, I have painted extensively on ceramic, trained in Folk Art and coached other artists in the style. For the last few years I’ve been creating ceramic pieces and painting oil on canvas; my various contemporary styles are self-developed, drawing on techniques used throughout my past.
